sessionLAND End User License Agreement
Night Lunch LLC · Last updated October 26, 2026
This agreement is between you and Night Lunch LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("Night Lunch", "we", "us"). It covers sessionLAND, its updates, and anything that comes with it, like templates, presets and help text (together, the "Software"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install it.
1. Your license
We license the Software to you. We don't sell it. As long as you follow this agreement, you may install and use it on up to two Macs that you own or control, for your own work, including paid work for clients. A license is for one person. A studio with several engineers needs a license for each of them.
If you're using a trial or beta copy, it's for evaluation, and it may stop working on a set date.
2. What you can't do
You may not:
- copy the Software, except as needed to install and back it up;
- share, sell, rent, lend or sublicense it, or put it on a network where others can use it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, or try to get at its source code, data or methods in any other way, including with automated or AI tools;
- change it or build other work from it;
- get around or interfere with license checks, time limits or other protections;
- remove or change copyright, trademark or other notices in it;
- use it to build a product that competes with it.
The reverse engineering limit applies except where the law where you live expressly allows it anyway, and then only as far as that law allows.
3. License checks
The Software may check that your license is valid. If a check fails, the Software will tell you plainly. It won't quietly turn off features in the middle of a job.
4. Pro Tools and other software
The Software works with Avid Pro Tools. Pro Tools is a trademark of Avid Technology, Inc. Night Lunch isn't affiliated with Avid, and Avid doesn't sponsor or endorse the Software.
The Software relies on interfaces that Avid and Apple control and can change or withdraw. We can't promise it will keep working with every future version of Pro Tools or macOS.
5. Your files
Your sessions, audio and other files belong to you. The Software works on them on your Mac, and we don't receive them unless you send them to us.
The Software opens, changes, imports and exports Pro Tools sessions and audio files. Back up your sessions and audio before you use it. You're responsible for keeping copies of your work.
6. Updates
We may offer updates. When you install one, this agreement covers it unless the update comes with new terms. We don't have to provide updates or support, though we try to.
7. Open source parts
The Software includes open source components. Their own licenses apply to them, and nothing here limits your rights under those licenses. The list and license texts are in the Software's Acknowledgements.
8. Who owns what
We and our licensors own the Software and all rights in it, including copyright, trademarks and trade secrets. "sessionLAND" and "Night Lunch" are our trademarks. Any rights we don't expressly give you here, we keep.
If you send us feedback, we can use it however we like, with no obligation to you.
9. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults. To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our licensors and suppliers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted, will work with any particular version of Pro Tools or macOS, or won't change or damage a session or file.
10. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor our licensors or suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost sessions, missed deadlines or business interruption, arising from this agreement or the Software, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for all claims under this agreement is limited to the greater of what you paid for the Software in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.
Some places don't allow these exclusions or limits, so some of them may not apply to you. In that case, they apply as far as the law there allows.
11. Export rules
You'll follow US export and sanctions laws and any that apply where you are. You may not use or send the Software to any country under a US embargo, or to anyone on a US government restricted-party list, and you confirm you aren't on one.
12. US government users
The Software is "commercial computer software" and its documentation is "commercial computer software documentation", as those terms are used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202. US government users get only the rights this agreement gives everyone else.
13. Ending this agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the Software. It ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, stop using the Software and delete every copy. Sections 2, 5, and 7 through 15 keep applying.
Refunds, if you bought a license, are covered by the refund policy published where you bought it.
14. Law and courts
Indiana law governs this agreement, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Allen County, Indiana, and you and we agree to those courts. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn't apply.
15. The rest
This is the whole agreement between us about the Software, and it replaces anything said before. If part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer this agreement without our written OK. We can transfer it, for example if the company is sold. We may update these terms, and the version that applies is the one in effect when you install or update.
